The Langer family lived in the town of River Edge, near St. Peter the Apostle Church and School for many decades. Both men served in the Armed Forces, Herman in the Army and Frank in the Air Force. They were active members of St. Peter’s Parish, Knights of Columbus, VFW and the community. The brothers felt that service and commitment to the church and community were important and rewarding.

In planning their estates, Herman and Frank decided to establish a Trust which would reward the students and graduates of St. Peter Academy who best exemplified a commitment to St. Peter Academy and their community. They believed that Faith, Knowledge and Service were the key aspects needed in order to live a meaningful and rewarding life.
